Fast contrast and naturalness preserving image recolouring for dichromats

People with colour vision deficiency (CVD) may have difficulty recognising or discriminating colours. To enhance their visual details, some methods been developed to contrast. Recently, researchers realized the importance of preserving naturalness in processed images avoid decreasing quality (QOV) and state-of-the-art image recolouring succeeded realising both contrast enhancement preservation by utilising optimisation model. However, high computational cost these prevents wide application daily lives. Moreover, cannot automatically resolve trade-off between preservation. This paper proposes Optimized Dichromacy Projection (ODP) as a novel high-speed technique for dichromacy compensation. ODP achieves computing an optimized projection from gamut normal can adapt weight property individual images. Qualitative, quantitative, subjective evaluation experiments show that proposed method generate qualities competitive while drastically improving computation time.
